YLH Social Entrepreneurship Challenge on eHealth
and Smart Cities
Organising Committee

The YLH Social Entrepreneurship Challenge on e-Health is about applying practical, innovative and sustainable approaches to benefit the health of societies, with an emphasis on those groups who are most vulnerable to health problems. In the second edition, teams comprising of students and young professionals will be developing solutions in the field of Smart Cities within the 24 hrs of the challenge. During this process, they will be guided and supported by mentors who are experienced in this area. At the end of the challenge a winning team will be chosen by a jury of experts. After the challenge, this team will be provided with the necessary means by Young Leaders for Health in order to realise their idea.

We are currently a team of six students and young professionals from France, Germany and Ghana who come from various academic backgrounds.

Who are we looking for?
We are planning on extending our team since we want to make next year’s edition even more successful than the first one.

We are looking for team players who are highly motivated and who share our vision. This motivation is much more important to us than experience or knowledge one might have acquired in the past. We are looking for someone with an open, creative mind who enjoys working in an international team. We strive to have a flat hierarchy within our team, which means that someone who wants to join us should enjoy working in such an environment. You should be willing to support the team with other tasks when this is needed.

We have video calls via Skype on a regular basis which means that you should be available for a call more or less every second week in the next months and later when the event is getting closer every week. In between the Skype calls, everyone works on their tasks, whose progress we discuss on the call.

To us at Young Leaders for Health, communication is key. We are all doing this on a voluntary basis. Hence, we depend on reliable, open-minded, communicative and trustworthy team players.

We are looking for people who are competent in the following fields and interested in applying their skills within the organisation of the Young Leaders for Health 24 hrs Social Entrepreneurship Challenge on e-Health focussing on Smart Cities.

I. Content Work, Research

III. Marketing & Social Media
